My spirit animal is the Chimpanzee and my heart is broken when I see them in cages. The chimpanzee is an animal that feels as much as humans do. Nowadays hunting and the sale of chimpanzees has increased in a considerable way. They sell the infants and they snatch them from their families while the mother fights for her infant's life. The hunters eliminate the mother chimpanzee. I see the gaze of most of these animals and they are beautiful creatures that have suffered. When animals are being slaughtered my heart aches in sympathy. They are beautiful creatures and they are the most similar to human beings and we should be more aware of what is happening with them and all animals. I painted this as a tribute to Mother Earth and her magical creatures. Especially chimpanzees because I identify with these beautiful creatures. It has the same crystalline eyes of hope that I have. Thank you for taking the time to think about this.
